At the heart of the community since 1982, we are a family run Farm Shop built from several generations' history of farming in the area. We believe in sourcing produce locally when possible and offering the finest food: buy fresh, eat fresh and support local businesses.
We pride ourselves on honest, friendly, expert service. Our stock changes seasonally, and so it's worth coming for a browse, to see what’s in store right now.
What can you find at Southbourne Farm Shop?
Our on-site bakery produces handmade Artisan bread using all natural ingredients
Bread is freshly made Tuesdays through to Saturdays, including Southbourne Wild Soudough, Malted Barley, Crusty White, Sisu Rye, and the non-wheat Seeded Loaf. At the weekend, our bakery also produces mouth-watering patisserie treats.

Fresh local produce,
delivered every day
We've a huge range of fruit and veg and we source as much of our fresh produce as locally as possible. Often the goods are picked from the field and on our shelves the very same day. The freshness is evident in the vibrancy of the produce and of course in the taste. We also ensure that the fruit and veg can be purchased without the need for plastic packaging. Brown paper bags are available, or of course you are welcome to bring your own.
Zero-Waste Refill Station
Our Zero-Waste Refill Station has more than 40 different products available to purchase without the use of packaging waste. You can use our brown paper bags, or bring your own containers. Products include dried fruit, nuts, lentils, pasta, rice, porridge oats, granola, and coffee beans.
Local dairy and meat produce
We source our milk from two local milk suppliers: the Goodwood Estate and Pensworth. We also have a grand selection of cheeses including varieties such as Isle of Wight Blue, Goodwood Levin Down, and several flavoured wedges from High Weald Dairy (including Brighton Blue). We can also point you in the direction of a marvellous cheddar! Our meat is supplied by local butchers including M.R. Starr of Emsworth and Adsdean Farm Shop.
Frozen food range: buy what you need all year round
Our frozen range from Field Fare is extremely popular: loose frozen fruit and vegetables that you can scoop up and buy in the quantities you require. There's also frozen patisserie treats, fish fillets, Yorkshire puddings, and lots more.
We also stock a truly delicious range of ready-made meals from locally-based Alexandra's Kitchen. The meals are made with high quality ingredients, available in two different portion sizes.
Gift ideas to treat yourself or someone else
Our home range includes hand-painted ceramics in rustic pastel colours, and an olive wood range from a small workers' cooperative in Tunisia.
We stock a large selection of greeting cards, and freshly cut flowers are available (which we can wrap for you). We also have plenty of different chocolate boxes and bars from producers such as Montezumas, Ooh Chocolata, and Monty Bojangles.
Chutneys, preserves, cakes, biscuits...
Our range of chutneys and preserves is huge; there are many flavours to choose, from several different suppliers including The Isle of Wight Garlic Farm, The Tomato Stall, Belazu, and Cottage Delight.
We stock locally-made cakes and desserts from Country Delights and Farmhouse Cookery, and Westbourne Bakery deliver fresh bread to us six days a week.
Wines, spirits and ales sourced locally and from further afield
Our farm shop stocks a range of local ales and ciders, and our local gins include Chichester Harbour Gin, Chilgrove, and Jarrold's. We also have sparkling wine from the local vineyards of Ashling Estate, and many fine wines from destinations around the world.
On-site vintage coffee trailer
"Our Little Place" run by Lisa and Terrie is our very own on-site vintage coffee trailer, serving freshly made paninis, delicious homemade cakes, and a selection of hot and cold drinks. The trailer is open six days a week (closed Mondays) and can be found in our overflow car park.
We also stock plenty more, including an extensive range of dried herbs and spices from Wilton Wholefoods, flour for bread-making from Wessex Mill, local ice cream from Meadow Cottage, pet food, plants, logs and kindling, coal and firelighters... indeed we try and stock all you would need for your average weekly grocery shop. Say hello to our animals!
Our animals are always happy to come and say hello to you (especially if you're holding a carrot or two). We have three horses, two Hereford and two Highland cows. They are all very much a part of the Farm Shop family.
