What's new...?

7th August 2008

New local produce from nearby Chidham: crispy and juicy Discovery apples, Primo and Savoy cabbage, and bunches of beetroot which look like they have just been freshly plucked from the soil!

Our range of Tyrells crisps prove to be popular all year round, but we have added a new seasonal flavour - Summer Barbecue crisps - which will only be available for the coming summer weeks.

For a refreshing morning drink, try our bottles of Fairtride Iced Coffee, available in Latte and Mocha flavours.

In this warm weather it can sometimes be tricky to keep frozen products frozen, and chilled products chilled! We now offer insulated chiller/freezer bags for £1.50.

Fuel and petrol prices are rising, property is losing its value, but it's not all bad news... local vegetables are bucking the trend and falling in price, so if you want eat the freshest veg with the smallest carbon footprint (and save some pennies) then come and have a look at our selection of local produce. We source goods from several local farmers, including suppliers in Chidham, Hambrook, and Southbourne itself.

After a prolonged shortage, we now have in stock bales of barley straw, at £2.50 per bale. We continue to stock our own new season bales of hay as well; exceptional quality for just £3.00 per bale.

Granstead's Ginger Wine has proven to be a popular drink in both the summer and winter, and a recent addition to our shelves is Granstead's Still Old Fashioned Lemonade (pictured right). This delicious beverage makes an ideal, thirst-quenching refreshment in the warm summer weather.

We have a full-page feature in the latest edition of the Emsworth Directory, which is delivered to homes in the area. You can find us towards the back of the directory.
