Happy New Year! 2022 is a significant year for Southbourne Farm Shop, as it marks the 40th Anniversary of the shop opening. A lot has changed since 1982; what began as a small space selling a handful of vegetables, and a member of staff armed with traditional weighing scales and a notepad and pen to total up a customer's shopping, has now grown into the shop you now see each time you visit, complete with hundreds of product suppliers. We hope to mark the anniversary later in the year!

After the indulgence of the festive period, some of you may be feeling the need to detox the Christmas remnants from your kitchen cupboards and your fridge, and we've got an exhaustive range of healthy eating options here at the Farm Shop.

If you are looking for an exciting New Year's Resolution, and you haven't already tried our Refill Station, now is a good time to tuck in! We have more than 40 refillable products including nuts, seeds, cereals, pasta, rice, coffee beans, sweet treats, and more. The advantages to refilling include the removal of unnecessary packaging waste and less food wastage (as you can take the amount that you need). Our refillable products are also cheaper than the equivalent products pre-packaged. Staff are on-hand to help if you need any guidance using the Refill Station. We are looking to expand the range too; the more people that use it, the more of a success we can make it! We also have a Milk Refill Station, filled with milk from local supplier Northney Farm.

Our "Free From" ranges have increased dramatically in the past year, too. If you are looking for dairy, wheat or meat alternatives our staff will be happy to point out to you some of the options available. We always strive to offer a broad range of products of a high standard, and we realise the importance of shoppers knowing exactly what they are buying, and where it has come from. We continue to champion local suppliers, as much as possible. If you haven't already subscribed to our email mailing list, you can register via the link below. We look forward to seeing you in 2022, and revealing the exciting plans we have for the year ahead. Subscribe to our email mailing list
